Megan Fortner is the Director of Community Resources for I Am Light Legacy and a licensed social worker with over a decade of experience in medical and rehabilitation settings. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from James Madison University and a Master of Arts in Health Advocacy from Sarah Lawrence College.
She currently works as a Claims Specialist with the Social Security Administration and is a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor, providing vital training on mental health and substance use response.
Megan brings compassion, advocacy, and a commitment to equity—connecting individuals and communities with resources that promote healing, empowerment, and resilience.
